Placeholder letter for now!

Hi and thanks for reading this! I've picked prompts that I'd absolutely love to see. Every single one of them sounds absolutely amazing and I will undoubtedly love whatever you write for it.

Tortall - Tamora Pierce

Alexander of Tirragen/Thom of Trebond
Thom of Trebond/Original Male Character
Numair SalmalĂn/Thom of Trebond

Firstly, if you've an idea for these prompts that you're excited about then go for it! Skip what I've written below, I'd love to read it.

Alex/Thom

I loved the Tortall books. It's the spaces in between that I'm most interested in, the what ifs and what might have beens. Alex is fascinating and we get so little clue in the actual text as to his motivations. Thom, for all his importance to Alanna, barely appears in the story either.

My dream is for Thom and Alex to somehow save each other.

If you want to add Roger, in a sexual relationship with either/both of them, then that's fine, as is it being completely nonsexual with Roger. I do see Roger as extremely abusive, unless you're going for a 'What if Roger was right/not-evil?' style AU. Otherwise, I'd really like to see Roger gets his comeuppance and be bested.)

What ifs can be fun. What if Thom received the same help and advice Alanna did. What if a god/goddess had taken an interest in Thom too? What if Thom was also told to learn to love, to heal, and the importance of making friends? What if it was discovered Alex was being mind-controlled? What if Thom arrived at court sooner? What if Thom's teachers didn't completely fail him. What if the twins both went to be knights, or both ended up in the cloisters. What if Thom discovers that Alex has been mind-controlled when he's clearing out Roger's spells after Roger's first death. Or what if Alanna doesn't manage to kill Roger the first time. Or if they're more successful at resurrecting him in a prompt manner. Or what if the twins mother didn't die?

Alex and Thom get a bleak enough ending in the actual story, so here I'd like them to get some happiness and a fix-it.

Numair/Thom initially struck me as a crack pairing, but the more I've read it, the more I've liked it. They're both extremely powerful magic-users and I wonder what if?! (DNW: Daine/Numair. I like Daine & Numair, but I don't like the romantic relationship. And no underage, so feel free to fudge time, age up Numair, do a what if Thom got sent to Carthak.)

Thom/Original Male - Go wild! Have fun! Give Thom some happiness! PLEASE!!! :D

Arthurian Mythology
Gawain/Lancelot du Lac (Arthurian Mythology)

I have such a fondness for the idea of Gawain and Lancelot, two of Camelot's best Knights, each with their own issues. Sometime rivals, sometime questing companions. I also love the very idea that neither of them are the other's true love, but they find each other anyway.

I'm so very fond of Arthur/Lancelot as a background ship, that can't work out for reasons. I don't like Lancelot/Guinevere that relies on Arthur being deceived by them. I do like Lancelot & Guinevere as friends, or Arthur/Lancelot/Guinevere. Or one sided crush. Or Lancelot using courtly love and the image of being in love with Guinevere as a way of casting off suspicion in regards to his sexuality.

Lancelot/Elaine (Galahad's mother) reads to me as rape. She disguises herself as someone else to conceive a child with him, knowing he'd say no. Which is dark! Gawain, in turn, has Lady Bertilak's advances to fend off.

I prefer Lancelot and Gawain to be portrayed as good, chivalrous knights, even if they've issues that they struggle with. (Anger issues, depression, feelings of inadequacy, etc.)

Grigori Trilogy - Storm Constantine
Owen Winter/Taziel Levantine

This is a longshot, I'm really not expecting anyone to have even read these books, let alone offer an extremely obscure pairing from them.

Taziel Levantine is one of the grigori, the fallen angels who live amongst humanity. He is a charismatic musician, a powerful psychic, who fell in love with the mysterious Peverel Othman, and their relationship left him scarred. Owen Winter is half-grigori, and also a victim of Peverel Othman. Daniel was Owen's first love, and Taziel's most recent fling, and Daniel turned his back on both of them to be with the man who was Peverel. (The Trilogy's really Daniel's story, gay teenage psychic, sucked into a mysterious world of fallen angels.)

I love the idea of Owen and Taziel. Despite both being important characters in the previous books, and never having met, by the third their only mention is a single paragraph, shown through Daniel's eyes. Daniel's so absolutely certain neither of them can be in a good place, but they surprise him by having found each other. They've both been hurt and broken and I find the idea of them learning to heal together so intriguing.

Ancient Greek Religion & Lore
Asterion the Minotaur/Icarus

Icarus and Asterion are trapped by the labyrinth in different ways. Icarus, imprisoned for his father's sins, and Asterion for his mother's. (Although really his father's.)

I rather love the idea of Icarus and Asterion getting together. I'm more into the idea of tragic, abandoned Prince, who is also a prisoner, than I am big brute of an unthinking monster. I'd love switching up the dynamic from the expected and having Icarus more dominant sexually if you decide to go for smut. But mostly, I'd just love to see these two explored.

While I generally prefer hopeful endings, for this pairing I can see it going either way. A fix it that gives them a happy ever after, or just embrace the tragedy inherent in their tales.

Crossover Fandom

Edmund Pevensie (Narnia)/Eliot Waugh (The Magicians)
Alexander of Tirragen (Tortall)/Edmund Pevensie (Narnia)Fanfiction
Summary
Whoever put down Alexander of Tirragen/Edmund Pevensie it's sheer genius! With both Edmund and Alex having been traitors under the sway of powerful magic users. Edmund gets saved and a chance to redeem himself, to reflect on his past crimes, but Alex does not get that. I'm just intrigued with where this prompt can go!

Edmund/Eliot is just one of those crossovers I love the idea of. The Magicians is very much derived from Narnia and the quest in the second Magician's book is reminiscent of Voyage of the Dawntreader.

Edmund, the boy who was sent away to boarding school oh so young, and terribly bullied there, the traitor who is eventually redeemed. Who grows up and grows old only to become a child again. Who's taken away from Narnia three times and returned to England.

Book Eliot, or TV Eliot, both of them different. I'd be happy with either, or a different take. Want to write an AU, send Eliot to Narnia, Edmund to Fillory, have them both meet in the real world, be that Edmund's wartime London, or Eliot's present-day with magic, or something entirely different. I'd love to see anything.

I'd just love to see what would happen if Edmund and Eliot met.

I'd appreciate characters being around the same age, age whomever up if you need to. And I'd rather not underage.

Summary
I am running out of time! This is probably a read the letter for more details!

These prompts are mostly picked because they look fun. If we matched on this have fun writing them! If you've an idea you'd love to write on any of these then feel free to skip my prompts. They're just random thoughts I had.

Magician/Familiar - I was imagining the familiar as being humanoid with animal features, or who can shapeshift into a humanoid form. I love summoning/finding/choosing/buying a familiar to work magic and bond with forever to finally be able to do awesome magic. Or even the other side of the coin with being a familiar hoping a really nice master will pick them.

Fairy Prince/WItch is just such an odd couple. The witch doesn't need to be human. The Witch could have a tragic backstory as reason for their misanthropy. Or maybe the Fairy is just annoying this misanthropic witch with his questions about humanity and refusing to take 'buggeroff' as an answer until the witch requires an ingredient only the Fairy can provide!

Fairy Godfather/His Nemesis - What do you have to do to become the nemesis of a fairy godfather?! Is it his one charge he was unable to find a happy ever after for? Is it a rival fairy godfather that keeps stealing his clients? Is it a Sorcerer who believes fairies should stop meddling in human affairs? The possibilities are endless!

Magical Professor/Academic Rival - This just spoke to me. Is the rival aware of their rivalry or is it entirely one-sided? What if one is forced to go to the other for help? Or they have to work together? Or they have to go to a conference together and they end up assigned to a room with ONLY ONE BED!!! What if there's a spell that requires sex magic and it's all very embarrassing.

Surly Catboy/Clueless Owner - I love surly, badly behaved, catboys, who swagger around and entirely take advantage of the good nature and/or cluelessness of their owners. Or should that be cat-men? No breaking of catboy or clueless owner please.

The Chosen One's Best Friend/The Dark Lord's Trusted Advisor - Are the two of them overshadowed and underappreciated by the escalating war between the Chosen One/Dark Lord? Or do they believe in the cause? Is it unrequited love all around? Are they just tired of the Chosen One/Dark Lord rivalry and have decided to join together and play matchmaker only to fall in love in the process?
